Plans & billing
One price for both models. Pay by card or mobile money, and stop by simply not renewing.
| Plan | Price | Tokens a day |
|---|---|---|
| Free | — | 150,000 |
| Pro | $12 / month | 3,000,000 |
| Team | $15 / person / month | 5,000,000 each |
Every plan includes both models — Akili Fundi (Code) and Akili Core — and all three faces: Build, Motion and Work. The difference is headroom, not features. Nothing is held back from the Free plan except volume.
What a daily allowance means
Your cap is enforced at the gateway on every request, and it resets each day. A run that would cross it is stopped mid-flight rather than completed and billed — the same behaviour as the budget caps you set yourself.
To put the numbers in context: reading a medium-sized file and making a targeted edit is usually a few thousand tokens. A long agent run over a real codebase can be a few hundred thousand. Free is enough to judge whether this works for you; Pro is enough to work in all day.
Credits
Top-ups add tokens that are spent after your daily allowance, and they do not expire when your month does. They exist for two reasons: an unusually heavy week, and mobile money.
Mobile money has no dependable recurring charge — a one-off push is how the rail actually works. If you pay that way, a top-up is the natural motion rather than a workaround, and you are never surprised by a failed auto-renewal.
Paying
Payments run through DPO Pay, which settles locally and accepts cards and mobile money across East Africa. You are sent to DPO's own page to pay; card details never touch Akili.
A payment is only credited once Akili has asked DPO directly what happened — the redirect back to the site never decides anything on its own. If you are ever charged and your plan does not change, tell us: every attempt is recorded against a reference, so it can be traced and put right.
Changing plan
- Upgrading takes effect as soon as the payment clears. Your access token keeps working — its cap is raised in place, so nothing signs out.
- Renewing early extends your period rather than restarting it. Paying on the 20th adds a month to what you have left.
- Stopping needs no cancellation. Let it lapse and you return to Free — your organization, projects and credits stay exactly where they are.
Who can pay
Only the organization owner can change the plan or buy credits. Everyone else in the organization gets the allowance without needing access to billing.
